2020 BUMP Festival: Week Two & Upcoming Events
Sunday August 16, 2020
We are officially halfway through the BUMP 2020 Festival and couldn’t be happier with how things have been going. From the feedback we’ve received, many people are enjoying the new self-guided tours by walking, biking, running and scootering to the different mural sites and even taking initiative to see other murals off the tour trail. On the weekends, Calgarians have been BUMPing along to some tunes and getting our new program at our physically distanced events- we can’t wait to see you at our next Music in the Park and BUMP Up!
However you decide to participate in the Festival, please keep tagging @yycbump in all your mural adventures, we love seeing pictures of our community come together in supporting the BUMP Festival!
Here are some highlights from this past week:
Music in the Park: Beats by DJs Dan Murray and Dr. Space were enjoyed by all in the Beltline’s most beautiful park. We were happy to meet some Calgarians, speak with them about the BUMP Festival and hand out our colourful programs!
BUMP UP!: Andrew Tavukciyan made progress on his mural accompanied by danceable tunes by DJs Shannon Hart and Homesick. Lots of locals stopped by to check out Slugger Studio’s nearly-complete mural (on the other side of the building) and Andrew’s process throughout the event.
A few murals are already completed and many more murals are in-progress since our last post. The updated Mural Locations Map is located on our Festival Page
