ARE Y’ALL READY?  This summer, we wanted to throw a real big block party. Welcome to Ground Up! This is a full day street takeover at Crescent Heights that brings Calgary’s underground culture to the surface. Under the summer sun, surrounded by friends, beer and food this is where graffiti, hip hop, dance, and community collide.

CYPHER & SHOWCASE — 5–7 PM

We’ve partnered with Foundation Collective who are bringing some fantastic artists from across Canada for their Graffiti Jam. As the walls are covered and the cans empty, PULSE Studios will be hosting an all styles battle — dancers from all over are welcome to compete for a cash prize, you will be judged by the legends @simbasiah @born2boogie @smnthlarez . This stage will hosted by 🎤 MC @ziadalymounib with music from 🎧 @djsonidef

The entertainment does not stop here  — to close out the day with even more punch @whcalgary will host our first ever cypher and hiphop showcase, with performances from @JABAHILL @K-QUAN @NYZA & @MANNI LEWD & 7 more local MC’s going head to head for the cypher. This stage will be hosted by one of Calgary’s best MC’s @profit
