DDRC BUMP UP!

In 2022, BUMP partnered with the Developmental Disabilities Resource Centre of Calgary (DDRC) to celebrate their 70th anniversary, and help promote a more inclusive Calgary with the creation of new mural.

After a nationwide call to artists, Calgary based artist Sarah Slaughter was selected to design and execute this collaborative mural. The DDRC x BUMP mural is a project that symbolizes Calgary’s evolution and growth into an inclusive and prosperous city that can lead by example. Through this art piece, we hope to portray the benefits of an inclusive Calgary for communities and businesses, where people of all abilities are able to contribute and be connected to each other.

We are celebrating the painting of this special collaborative mural through this BUMP UP! You can join the artist, Sarah Slaughter as they work as well as enjoy food, drink and music from a local DJ as we activate this site in the beltline.
