NASARIMBA

NASARIMBA is an artist duo composed of Rachel Ziriada and Mikhail Miller. Their 10 year practice is rooted in experimentation and intuitive processes, creating layered, abstract compositions across the mediums of painting, printmaking, sculpture, and large-scale mural installation. Their work suggests constructed environments where abstract forms shift between presence and absence, structure and improvisation. Drawing inspiration from urban environments, architectural forms, and graphic motifs, they explore the interplay between shape, texture, and space.

NASARIMBA has completed public murals across Canada and internationally, with their work contributing to the evolving visual language of contemporary urban spaces. Their work has been featured in mural festivals including Nelson International Mural Festival (2023, Nelson, Canada), Canettes de Ruelle (2024, Montreal, Quebec), Huellas Tilcajete (2025, Oaxaca, Mexico) and WOOL (2026, Covilhã, Portugal). NASARIMBA has participated in national and international residencies, most recently completing month-long sessions at Somos Arts in Berlin and Gate44 Printmaking Studio in Milan. Mikhail and Rachel live and work together in Mohkinstsis, Treaty 7 Territory / Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
