Mike Kerr

Mike Kerr has been sharing stories through pictures and words for over 25 years as an illustrator, writer, and educator. Originally a graduate of the design department at the Alberta University of Arts he has taught illustration at the university since the late 90s.

As an artist Mike has an eclectic visual voice that he has applied to as many creative platforms as possible. He has worked for corporate clients as varied as Adobe and Shell, and creative partners such as the Calgary Opera and even done a few Magic cards for Magic the Gathering back in the day. He also wrote two childrens books published by Bloomsbury, illustrated by his wife Renata Liwska.

His current work is derived from his abundant sketchbook exploration which includes a series of self published zines and abstracted experiments using geometric, isometric, and organic shaped based compositions.
