Kaitlin Roth is an artist and illustrator living in Calgary, Alberta. She enrolled at ACAD (now AUArts) in 2010 and majored in Print Media, with a particular interest in silkscreen, intaglio, and embossing. She went back to school and got a BA in Psychology from the UofC. While there, she designed and wrote a thesis on the relationship between gender expression and shyness, which are topics that come up in her artwork as well. Psychology remains to be a major influence, as is outsider art, pop culture, anatomy, and an ever present existential crisis. Kaitlin loves to explore human nature in her work, often balancing a slightly darker edge with a comedic and playful one. She primarily works with silkscreen, ink, acrylic, charcoal, pastel, and digital mediums. She has created work for musicians, poster shows, music festivals, private commissions, a local brewery, and others.
