Jiwoo Kim is a Korean visual artist based in Calgary. She graduated from AUArts in 2024 and
has since been working as an independent animator. She recently completed her debut film
COWMAN, which is currently screening at festivals around the world. Her artistic practice focuses on retelling everyday life experiences in a surreal and whimsical
way. COWMAN is a love story about a farmer and his cow, exploring their dramatic
transformation on a peaceful farm.
In addition to animation, Jiwoo enjoys creating playful and lighthearted claymation-style
illustrations. She worked on an e-scooter corral as part of BUMP and has also contributed to
ROAD WORKS through BUMP, marking her first mural project!
