Abbey Bennett

Abbey Bennett is a quilter, and painter from Calgary, Alberta. As an artist, she has always focused on topics and material practices that are not considered fine art within many institutions; quilting, sewing, textiles, and folk art. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Victoria, she moved to Calgary and continued to explore her artistic practice through animation through a scholarship at Quickdraw Animation Studio. Inspired by her passion for gardening and floristry, much of her work draws on the natural world.

Abbey painted for the ROADWORKS program in May 2022 and also in September 2022 for Dover.
